The Foundation carols concert returns to King’s College Chapel

On Sunday 4 December 2022, The Fine & Country Foundation will once again be hosting its annual Carols By Candlelight at the iconic King’s College Chapel in the heart of Cambridge. The chapel’s impressive scale and beauty has made it a firm favourite among those who have supported the event in previous years, and it is the ideal setting to bring in the season with an evening of music and readings. As always, all of the proceeds from the event will go towards charities fighting against homelessness and poverty.

Jon Cooke, Trustee of the Fine & Country Foundation, says: “The carol concert has become a highlight for many on The Foundation’s annual calendar and we are pleased to be able to host the event once again. It is a great way to get into the Christmas spirit with friends and family, while giving back and making a difference.”

He adds that this year has been particularly hard on charities and organisations that rely on donations. “As the prices for goods and services increase and the economic climate becomes ever more challenging, those facing homelessness are at increasing risk of not finding a suitable place to live and the basic living needs. For these reasons, this year’s fundraising is more important than ever. The money raised at the carol concert will be divided between Emmaus Cambridge, Jimmy’s Cambridge, Wintercomfort and Cambridge Cyrenians,” Cooke comments.

He notes that by holding events such as the carols concert, The Foundation is able to provide a helping hand to these charities and support them in the amazing work they are doing within their local communities. “Of course, this would not be possible without the support from our network of Fine & Country estate agents, their family and friends, and the public who support The Foundation each year and generously offer their time and money,” says Cooke.

The College’s mixed choir, King’s Voice will perform and lead the carols concert which starts at 5 pm.  General admission tickets will be sold for £30, pew tickets with restricted viewing will cost £20 each and VIP tickets will be available for £50 each. VIP guests will be seated at the front and are invited for mulled wine and mince pies in the Provost Lodge following the concert.

“The annual carol concert has been a massive contributor towards the money The Foundation has raised over the years and has helped support many charities and non-profit organisations,” says Cooke. “We invite the industry and the public to join in on our event, enjoy an amazing night of singing and have the opportunity to give back during this festive season.”
