Annual Carols by Candlelight Concert sets new record, raising over £21,000 for charities

Annual Carols by Candlelight Concert marks magical start to the holiday season and set a new record, raising £21,061 in support of charities.

The Fine & Country Foundation is thrilled to announce the astounding success of the Annual Carols by Candlelight Concert, held in collaboration with King’s College Cambridge on Sunday, 3rd December. This year’s event not only marked a magical start to the holiday season but also set a new record, raising £21,061 in support of charities combatting homelessness and poverty in the Cambridgeshire region.

Building on the success of the previous year, where £17,000 was raised, the 2023 Carols by Candlelight Concert attracted a record attendance of around 600 people. The enchanting evening brought together Fine & Country employees, clientele, local residents, and families of King’s College students, all uniting in the spirit of giving.

The event’s proceeds will be distributed among four deserving charities: Emmaus Cambridge, Jimmy’s Cambridge, Wintercomfort, and Cambridge Cyrenians. These organisations play a crucial role in providing vital services to homeless individuals, making a meaningful impact on their lives.

The iconic King’s College Cambridge once again served as the perfect backdrop for this heartwarming celebration. Attendees were treated to the angelic voices of the King’s Voices, the mixed choir of King’s College, creating an atmosphere of joy and unity within the historic halls.

Jon Cooke, Trustee of the Fine & Country Foundation, highlighted the significant impact of the annual Carols by Candlelight Concert, stating, “Through the support of the Fine & Country network and the public, The Foundation has been able to have a positive impact on many people’s lives around the globe. The annual carol concert has been a massive contributor towards the money The Foundation has raised over the years and has helped support many charities and non-profit organisations in the work they are doing in their communities.”

The evening commenced at 5 pm, followed by a delightful reception for VIP guests featuring mulled wine and mince pies. All proceeds from the event will be channelled through The Foundation, reinforcing their commitment to combat homelessness and poverty.

Tickets for this enchanting event were in high demand, and the Fine & Country Foundation encourages everyone to visit for future events and to join them in making a positive difference in their community.
