Your Role: Product Owner: As a Product Owner at nurtur. tech, you’ll be instrumental in developing and refining our suite of products. Collaborating closely with fellow Product Owners and Software Developers, you’ll translate our vision into actionable products and features. You will take a holistic approach to Product Ownership embedding yourself, and integrating with our organisation and customers encourage collaboration between development, operations, and other stakeholders to create a unified team. You will also help prioritise work and facilitate an ongoing transformation to DevOps practices, and ensuring the successful delivery of top-grade, high-quality products.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Product Vision: Define and articulate a clear product vision that aligns with our mission and resonates with our target audience.
  • User-Centered Design: Engage with customers, stakeholders, and cross-functional teams to gather insights and ensure user needs drive product development.
  • Requirements Management: Document and communicate requirements effectively, guiding the development team in creating solutions that meet user expectations.
  • Backlog Management: Create and prioritize user stories, epics, and features in the product backlog to ensure efficient development cycles.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with Software Developers, Designers, and other stakeholders to facilitate a seamless development process and timely product releases.
  • Agile Delivery: Embrace Agile principles and contribute to an iterative development approach that allows for flexibility and continuous improvement.
  • DevOps Transformation: Assist in facilitating an ongoing transformation to DevOps practices, fostering collaboration and efficiency between development and operations teams.
  • Product Enhancement: Analyse user feedback and data to identify opportunities for product enhancement, ensuring sustained product relevance and quality.
  • Market Awareness: Stay informed about industry trends, technological advancements, and competitive landscapes to refine product strategies.
  • Quality Assurance: Ensure the delivered products meet high standards of quality, performance, and functionality.

Competencies:

  • Experience: Minimum of 3 years in a Product Owner role or similar capacity within the technology or software sector.
  • Strategic Mindset: Ability to strategize and execute product development plans that align with organizational goals and user needs.
  • User-Focused: Strong empathy for users, with demonstrated experience in leveraging user feedback to drive product enhancements.
  • Communication Skills: Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities, fostering effective collaboration across diverse teams.
  • Agile Enthusiast: Familiarity with Agile methodologies and a willingness to embrace iterative development processes.
  • DevOps Familiarity: Understanding of DevOps principles and experience in contributing to DevOps transformations is a plus.
  • Analytical Thinking: Strong analytical skills to translate data and insights into actionable product improvements.
  • Adaptability: Comfortable in a fast-paced environment, adaptable to change, and willing to take initiative.

Problem-Solving: Adept at identifying and addressing challenges through creative problem-solving.

This will be a remote based role with occasional travel required to Brief Your Market office commercial building in Little Eaton which is a beautiful village on the outskirts of Derby. It’s a great location with free on-site parking and plenty of local amenities.

Working hours are 9 am – 5.30 pm Monday to Friday so you’ll have the weekends to relax and recharge.
