We have an excellent opportunity for the right candidate to join our People Team and our ever-expanding company. This is an integral role that requires strong communication skills, diligence, and the ability to prioritise tasks based on the needs of the business.

The role will require the successful candidate to work from our office in Derby 3x times per week. 

Responsibilities:

Lead the People team with focus and drive, fostering a positive and inclusive team environment.

Monitor performance within the People Team and provide regular feedback and personal development.

Oversee the recruitment process; mitigating any blockers to ensure prompt placements are made.

Assist in the personal development of the wider business working closely with the training team to identify skill gaps.

Enhance and develop the induction process so that new starters feel supported and nurtured from the outset of their journey with us.

Facilitate career development, highlighting paths to achieve personal growth within the business.

Drive performance reviews throughout the entire business, monitoring progress and reporting and areas of improvement.

Address performance issues promptly and constructively, providing guidance for improvement.

Develop and implement strategies to enhance employee engagement and job satisfaction.

Foster a positive workplace culture through team-building activities and initiatives.

Develop and implement employee recognition programs to acknowledge and reward outstanding performance.

Where needed, have the ability to mediate any conflicts in a fair and constructive manner.

Enhance communication across our business, being mindful of different working patterns and time zones.

Instil policies and procedures across the group to maintain a fair, healthy and inclusive work environment.

Promote diversity and inclusion within the company, fostering an environment that values and respects differences.

Utilise our PeopleHR system ensuring that it is the source of truth for all aspects relating to our team members.

Provide MI for monthly board packs and wider business needs when required.

Work closely with the finance team creating a smooth and accurate process for responsibilities such as payroll and expenses. 

Build relationships with the wider business and manage internal stakeholder expectations.

Some facilities management is required within this role to ensure general office checks are taking place and liaise with suppliers.

About you:

Recent experience working in HR and managing a team.

CIPD qualified is preferred but not mandatory.

A real self-starter, proactive and enthusiastic with a solution focussed mindset.

Strong emotional intelligence.

Exceptionally organised and able to manage own workload to changing priorities.

Logical, methodical, with impeccable accuracy and attention to detail.

Able to demonstrate absolute discretion and confidentiality.
